Following on from being placed as a Finalist in last years ABIA Awards for Best Live Entertainment in NSW, it was announced on Tuesday 8th December, 2009 at Dockside Fuction Cenre in Darling Harbour, Sydney that Johnny Spitz was the winner for 2009.

As voted by brides throughout Australia and accredited by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA), Johnny Spitz received a mark of 96.99% to win this award.

In 2010 Johnny Spitz was automatically inducted in to the

ABIA Accreditation program qualifying at the Silver Approved Level.

This silver logo is given to Johnny Spitz Entertainment on behalf of ABIA as a sign to new brides/grooms ensuring quality assurance.

Hope all is well and you have recovered from Saturday night, we slowly are ha-ha. Thankyou once again for your work at our wedding it was definitely the best day of both our lives and we think that both yourself and Katie help contribute in a massive way to that. Well we are safely home from honeymoon and still on a high from our fantastic wedding. We really loved the day so much, it was so much fun and we have had a lot of great feedback. Thanks once again for all you did, the music was exceptional, it was so good to see everyone up and dancing, not one table of 'sit arounders' I think!! It was a great vibe and the best investment I made!

Music can either make or break a party and Johnny - you made it!!

You were so approachable from the firsy day we met and you always went out of your way to help deliver us a memorable night.

We had complete confidence in your ability to read an audience and keep the party cranking. i don't think there was a spare spot on the dance floor all night!

The highlight was definately when you played "Long Way To The Top" with my cousin Eddie playing the bagpipes - it was absoulutely spectacular.!!

We were so blessed to find such an energetic, approachable, fun-loving family guy to help us celebrate our special night. Thanks once again Johnny - we were so thrilled with the outcome!

A re-worked version of  "Songbird" by Fleetwood Mac. This song was requested by bride Lisa Maloney for her Bridal Waltz.

It was filmed at home a few weeks prior to the wedding as a preview/demo and sent to Lisa. See reference below. 

Other two videos, Billy Thorpe's "Most People I Know" and Cold Chisel's "When The War Is Over" are from a solo gig at Huskisson Hotel - filmed by my agent Narrell Brown.

The final two are Neil Young's "Heart Of Gold" and from the movie Midnight Cowboy "Everybody's Talkin".

I just wanted to say thank you for a most enjoyable evening last Saturday 3rd April, 2010, at Wollongong RSL Bowling Club. You present yourself in a very professional manner and by that I mean your set up is excellent (sound, lights etc) and your attire is most presentable, not jeans and T-Shirt, but nice dress pants and shirt, which to me is most impressive.
 
What an extremely entertaining night. Your variety of song selections and eagerness to please guests that were there was very pleasing to see. You certainly do know how to read a crowd. They kept throwing song requests at you and you accommodated every one of them.
 
We had only intended on staying for a while, have dinner, listen to the music for a while and go home. Those plans changed as soon as we heard you start to play. It was just such a memorable night.
 
Thanks again Johnny and we look forward to many more gigs featuring Johnny Spitz.

"Johnny played at our wedding on the 28th of February 2009.
We asked if he would be able to sing in our Church ceremony as we thought it might be nice for our guests to sit, relax and listen to some great live music, Johnny did such an unbelievable job, there were lots of tears and even singing along happening, which just made the service so much more special.
I told johnny maybe two weeks before the wedding about a song that we would loved to of had for a bridal waltz, within a couple of days I received a message from him saying that he had learned it and was ready to go, our bridal waltz was such a special moment thanks to Johnny.
Johnny also entertained our guests throughout the night playing a great mixture of music, and was most accommodating to anyone who asked him to play a song. We are still hearing comments from our guests that they had such a great time dancing all night.
Our day/night would not have run as smoothly or been so wonderful without Johnny.
